Re: AQ-spades in the BB
That doesn't seem very sound. Why would I want to put that kind of variance on my BR? I used to play that way, but was frustrated with not getting called on my big hands and taking small pots with my big draws (or getting in marginal situations on a draw against made hands). NL should not be an all-in fest.

OOP, I dont like checking and calling with a FD, especially in this case where I have TPTK and nut flush draw. So even though moving in is an overbet , Thats the only option. Thats why i dont like the weak lead, if you lead for pot here , an allin is not an overbet. [/ QUOTE ] |

NL should not be an all-in fest. [/ QUOTE ] sure it should be - whenever you have good edge or equity, you should do your best to get all-in on any street that you can. That's how you crush games. Getting a 3-bet all-in called on the flop w/ a set is one of the most profitable plays in the game. Add in draws some of the time if the conditions warrant, and include your folding equity in there, and your variance shouldn't be bad at all... very +EV style of play. |

Re: AQ-spades in the BB
That's not the all-in I meant. Above, people are advocating being all-in from my first action on this flop. A 3-bet all-in with a set of Q's works fine.
