There was a huge thread, and every sitcom mentioned got pulled into a nominations poll, where a voter could vote for ten. (This poll ran for one day, starting on a Friday night, which is the only real problem with the whole thing so far.) The top 16 vote-getters got seeded 1 to 16, and the winners are in this poll. I think all in all, I give The Stranger 4.5 stars out of 5 for this.

There have been hundreds of weaker polls. If you disagree with the results, you are probably older than 80% of the OOT regulars.

I agree it's not top 8 sitcoms ever, but it was funny. MWC and Futurama are far less deserving.

Family Guy Vs. Married with Children?

Man, that's a tough one. Family Guy is a far superior show in terms of humor, but Married with Children started it all.
I'm gonna have to go with Peta Griffin on this one.

i don't get everyone's infatuation with seinfeld - the only character that's good is george (kramer has absolutely no acting skill, elaine is an annoying waste of time, and jerry's persona was tired 5 minutes after i started watching)

seriously, am i missing something in this show?

p.s. jerry seinfeld might be the worst stand-up comic ever - he's NOT FUNNY!
