No , what speaks for itself is your willingness to judge people by the number of posts at a poker forum.

I got the exact same e-mail this morning but from PP. I also e-mailed back and asked them to tell me what I was using and I would stop. I don't use any software. I don't do this to make a living it just for fun for me.

Maybe charge a fee. Like if Party blocked all of these applications, but said "If you pay us $15 a month you can see stats on all of your opponets" it would be good.

Or even better, $100 a month! That way the rocks and mice that are barely making it will die off, leaving the fish to us serious players =)

Also doesn't it seem like this is the step in the wrong direction for Party, since it would encourage long-time players to look for another place to play?

Well I'm far from a newbie and I agree. The playing field needs to be level. And don't tell me the software is available to everyone because we both know that's bullshit. When it really is available to everyone I'll change my opinion.

First, it's hardly BS. Pokertracker is dirt cheap.

Second, the programs DO level the playing field. I'm a programmer. I could easily write a program that only I would have that tracks stats. Now the power is concentrated in the hands of an even smaller group.

Finally, I don't use the software much during hands as I do just to find tables. Some sites (not party) supply the kind of stats that's most useful (table saw flop type stats). More stats is nice, but I haven't become a better player because I use PokerEdge. I've done better because I'm finding better tables. I'm at the same number of tables I would be anyway.

this thread is stupid. Party knows where their bread is buttered and it's by the multi-tabling middle limit TAGs. I would guess that probably 1/3 of the hands played on 10/20 above are played by 5 or 10% the players. why chase those away by taking away rakeback or banning these programs.
