Re: My first 934 12 tabling the $33s
always have done $33s, will move up to $55s after 5k as long as i can keep up approximately my current status
i don't really follow Mr J's ROI post, but the ROI with rakeback would be about 2.5% higher (and of course would make a huge difference to a lower ROI and little difference to a very high one) |

Re: My first 934 12 tabling the $33s
How does 12-tabling compare to 8-tabling? I current 8-table lower SnGs on one monitor and was curious to see if 12 tabling was feasible (maybe not on one monitor, but that's a different question). I ask because there are some times in which I am so caught up at some tables that I occasionally time out on others and wondered how much more often that happens with 4 additional tables. Thanks.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't play more than 4 tables, but I'd suggest that if you're having problems with 8 (getting 'caught up', timing out), you should be considering cutting back, not adding more. I'd certainly get that second monitor first. |

Re: My first 934 12 tabling the $33s
So you made 4k w/ rakeback at a very sustainable clip of 10%. Not much to complain about there but obviously at 25% you make 8.5K a week which allows to only work 1 week a month. My suggestion as a lowly 8 tabler is to concentrate on the stacks around you at the bubble. The dynamics of who's got what amount of chips and in what position should dictate you're range of hands that you should push/call pushes or fold. This got my ROI from the 5% when I started 8 tabling to 23-24% that I see now.

Is ROI generally reported with or without including rakeback? [/ QUOTE ] Don't count rakeback in your ROI. It doesn't give you the same basis for comparison as others are using, since people have very different rakeback set-ups and some have no rakeback at all. It's part of your profits, but that's a different subject. |

I bet you could play longer, with fewer mistakes, and feel much more relaxed and happy while doing it. 19-inch CRT's sometimes cost under 100 bucks. |

Re: My first 934 12 tabling the $33s
You shouldn't pay for a CRT, your eyes will start to bleed...
If you're 8-tabling, do it right. Pick up a 20"+ LCD. The 2001fp is discounted to $450 right now. |
