its not a private game. anyone with a buy in can sit in. when they are travelling and playing with white chips this im sure is not true. but generally this is an open game just like the 2-4. if there is a seat and a buy in, your welcome to have a seat.

I haven't seen this game in action but by private he must mean that it is not in the middle of the poker room. It is probably in some pimp-azz suite or some other fancy room.

they used to play it in the upper area of the bellagio poker room, now its tucked away in some back room for security purposes.
i think the original poster's question is how does the casino make money in it? rake (5% max $300)? session fee (what, like $100/half hour)? time pots? |

They definitely don't pay rake, and they definitely don't pay as much as 200$ an hour in time.
