they were all talking about 300xBB as a standard (even conservative) rule. In my blessed ignorance, I did not know they were talking about limit games. So after six weeks of playing, I sat in the 100$NL games with a 300$ BR.

funny, i did the same thing.

the PP $400 is my regular game currently, should i not have voted?

like fim, i prefer having about 40 buy-ins. i have more than that right now that i haven't cashed out because i've been taking some shots at the $1K (and $2K ).

Since March or so I have been pretty strict with my bankroll management due to the desire to move up and get better. I used to take money out all the time so it never grew. I am currently using the 20+ buy-in rule for my roll and am playing 100NL. I have the money spread out among 3 sites right now, but try and have a min of 5 buy-ins at each site so I don't have to leave a profitable table if I bust a few times.

I have plenty of personal money that I could easily replenish the roll with, but as a discipline thing my goal is to never go back into personal funds to supply my bankroll. So if that means I hit some bad streak and have to play 25NL, that's the game I am going to play.

I don't think so, and I'm getting pretty good at spotting redpill's aliases.

After reading Zorro's thread, I'm not so sure anymore.

I voted $1000-$5000, but this poll made me sum up my bankroll on neteller and different sites - It's actually $6K w00p.

That means I've achieved 50% of my goals for this summer:

1) getting a bankroll for $400NL
2) playing in, and beating $400NL

guess i better get back to trying to beat $200NL

Speaking of bankroll, a lot of you seem quite conservative with your bankroll requirements ... 40 buy-ins?? If i went on a
10 buy-in downswing I'd seriously consider moving down. Is it more of a psychological thing?

Personally i want 15 buy-ins for a given level, if i drop below that i instantlly move down. I did this 2 months ago - dropped too many buy-ins at $100NL and went all the way back to 3-tabling $25NL and 1 tabling $50PLO and grinded it all back. It was a very nice feeling finally sitting in at a $100NL table again knowing i could step down

Not very big. I keep taking shots at bigger games and bad beats + a bit of tilt has led to some bad nights ($200-$600 losses) so I'm at around $1500 after starting with $300.

I usually play 1-2 limit, so my bankroll is around $700 at the moment (my blog here). With that, I play $25NL and $25PL.

So where are the 8-tabling small stakes pro's?
First TWP and now Xorbie saying they're not making all that much... it's too much for one day
