just color them up to something that horridly doesn't play in that game and don't play with it anymore.

Sorry that won't work in B&M. Whatever you win is still in play until you leave the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right, but if you're playing limit and color up to two blacks, you can pretend they're not there and just play with the rest of the whites or reds or whatever else you have. In no limit, this clearly won't work.

uhh.. no, you can't.

what if you have 2 blacks and some reds, and run out of reds, then have to call a river bet? you can't "go all in", you must call with a black, and get change.

It is a stupid rule. If your stack gets too big for comfort, pick up your chips, ask the board for dinner reseating, and come back into a new game in about 10 minutes with the minimum buyin. Since there is such an easy work-around (though unethical), just get rid of the stupid rule.

mos casinos require you to rebuy with the same amount if it is within one hour of the time you left.

Not going to happen:

Most rooms have a rule that if you get up to cash out and try to return to the same game within an hour, you must buy in with the same amount you cashed out.

That's news to me. At Foxwoods in the $1-2 $100 max NLHE, they won't even let you sit with more than $100 after a requested table change. I can't imagine the rule after a meal break/reseat being any different.

This is the exact opposite of the must-move game I was in last year at FW.

A dealer explained it this way, and I thought it was a pretty good way to look at it...

As soon as you put money on the table it belongs to the whole table. You may only cash out the money in front of you when you leave. If you must cash out but want to continue playing, just switch tables.

Most rooms will not you color up like that. They will only allow you to color up to a playable chip, e.g. 3/6 or 4/8 will color up to red, but not green or black.

It's not called table stakes, that refers to something different.

[/ QUOTE ]

What have you heard the term used for? I've always understood table stakes to include both "rules" so to speak(you can't add during a hand, you can't subtract at all except for tips and similar).

FWIW I'm going to start changing seats when my stack gets big at Foxwoods $1-2 NL, because I don't think I'm a very good large-stack player. (A small sample of results bears that out.) If there's no waiting list, the OP could cash out, bankroll his friend, and buy back in of course.

[/ QUOTE ] In all Casinos I know of you cannot cash out and buy back in with less than you cashed out for, withen a certain time limit, Weather there is a wait list or not. Tabe Stakes is just that TABLE STAKES! What you see is what you got. Same for online Poker akaholdem
