Well...I sort of agree with Emoney's attitude, though...in the sense that you can't live your life in fear that a board pair necessarily spells doom for your top two pair. If you were positive that he had a T, then check/call is fine...but I think there's plenty of ambiguity, especially at a low-limit table. I see no reason not to pull the trigger, call the raise, and silently take note of the fact that he was willing to stay in with what was second pair, then third pair with a gutshot for twice as much.

Put it this way: do you think he would have folded if he doesn't spike the T or a Q on the river? I would guess not, from the way he played the hand up to that point.

Good point.

But the ten did come and I just felt he didn't hold a K or a J by the way he played it. I guess I was trying to hand read too much and got lucky.
