I just wanna say that one time when I was on Pacific, I swear I had the same thing happen, but the hand history did say other wise. Perhaps even crazier, this one time I was playing, and it was 7 way to the flop, everyone checked it through to the button, he checked, and then I will be damned if the first guy did'nt get another chance to bet. He paused for a few seconds, and then Bet, and everyone folded. It was the wackiest stuff. I don't think the site is rigged though, I just think the software is the buggiest pile of [censored] in Internet Poker...

Not that anybody should need any more proof, but here goes my story:
One time I was playing multiple tables simultaneously and the king of hearts showed up on both tables at the same time!!!!!11 Kind of funny how the same card could be at two different places simultaneously... makes you wonder.... |

C-Dog [/ QUOTE ] I can vouch that I have seen this happen a few times on Pacific. I've also seen in a MTT, where even after a preflop raise, a player will get skipped and get a free look at the flop without ever contributing to the pot. |

Maybe this is old news, maybe I won't be believed; I post this as a public service announcement and am not concerned about whether people agree or not. I am also not offering proof, but rather, one instance of evidence which, for me, confirmed my suspicion. Hand #2879000; I was dealt A4 of hearts in early-middle position. I was ready to call, having found that slightly looser pre-flop play and aggressive post-flop play when it hits tends to be profitable against the inevitable calling stations present in online tourneys with a $30 buy-in. However, an under the gun raise changed my mind and I folded. And yet, on the flop there was my four of hearts. And, in the highly unlikely event that I somehow mistook diamonds for hearts, on the turn was an Ace of diamonds. These tourneys I had until recently found very beatable. I placed first or second in half of 20 tourneys, all with the stakes (or nearly so) that I mentioned before. Over the past two days I've been able to limp in to only one second place finish, severely understacked & extremely lucky to survive. Of course, I could've just had a bad run of cards. Getting drawn out on repeatedly with dominating hands like AQ vs. Q9; getting disconnected (while running a cable modem connection & simultaneously being able to access email, google searches, etc.) with pocket Ks & a K high on the flop. Possible, but not probable. And no, this is not statistical evidence; the truth lay more in the manner by which I lost. Losing the 50% when I was winning was sensible, after words it was absurd (follow?). I am a solid poker player who has recently returned to the game after not having played for three years. Obviously, one necessary skill for a poker player is being able to smell bullshit. Pacific Poker stinks to me, but it's up to all you fine 2+2 Forum members to make up your own minds. yours truly, MasterShakin [/ QUOTE ] You're just about [censored] retarded. |

I'm pretty sure the software doesn't change it's mind halfway through the hand as to what it is going to do.
Also, if Pacific "Rigged" its deck to gain some sort of business advantage, they would certainly not be stupid enough to do it in such an easily detectable way. |

number of players that post on this board complaining about rigged online poker: dozens
number of them that are winning players: zero methinks this must mean something... |

Topic is "Evidence that Pacific Poker is Rigged". I decide to look.
1) I find no evidence. Just an anecdote. 2) Even if the poster is right, it wouldn't automatically have to be rigged. It could as well be evidence of sloppy programming. That is something anyone who has played at Pacific know they have specialized in. In fact, if they were deliberately trying to rig the game, dealing the same card twice would be about the stupidest way to do it. |
