[/ QUOTE ] You have to stay there at least 3 months a year, actually, if it's not more - all though it's possible to scam your presence with automatic lights etc.(yes, this is done for people who don't have the time to stay there full 3 months).

Evil rumour
Sad if its true. But people tend to believe that Gus is reckless because og his playing style.
Well, Gus is originally from Denmark, but due to gigantic differences in taxation he is residing in Monaco (Monte Carlo). I'm not sure but I believe he changed his nationality. I would guess that he has to renew his VISA once in awhile, unless he actually got some kind of a green card, working for somebody in the US. I doubt it... His firm PokerChamps are located in Malta... and probably have to be there physically from time to time.... (Both Malta, Monaco and Denmark ar within the European Union, so no problem going forth and back). For whats it worth, he appeared on Danish television a couple of months ago... supposedly he occasionally visits friends and family in Denmark..... Well he said that he was about to buy house in Vegas some 6-12 months ago, BUT after having had some tough times at the pokertables, he was thinking of dropping this ... NOW when he appeared on television, he was doing good, he had just bought a nice house in Las Vegas... Barry Greenstein tells that Gus Hansen are of one the few (if not the only one) who are able to go down and up a million in one session, that shows me even a large sum like 4 million would be horrible problem for Gus... BarryGreensteinshomepagePokerPlayerAnalysis I'm confident that Gus Hansen with his savings, his investments in houses and his firm are good for more than 4 mio. USD ... SO I have a very hard time believing he would cheat his friend and run off like that.... Its just an evil rumour...
