I thought in the U.K., left=conservative?

[/ QUOTE ]Oh, so now you do care.

[/ QUOTE ]no, I still don't. It was more of a inquisitive question. I have no idea who is on what side, and I STILL don't care.

If you want one then just start one. I would be interested to hear some views on it as well. I have my own.

Basically, I think that anyone who can't see the benefits of free trade has no clue about economic principles.

And I will not buy something that costs more money just because it is made here in America.

No. There used to be a big difference between Thatcher who was a fairly radical free marketer who aligned closely with America and Labour who were really very leftist but then Blair took over the leadership in'94 and dubbed it "New Labour" which basically meant "Conservative".

Dead, this is one of these rare moments I think there's hope for you. You do think for yourself on some issues

I think for myself on all issues.

Last I checked, the Democratic Party was pretty pro-Israel. Not as much so as the Republicans, but still very biased.

I don't support Israel.

Last I checked, the Democratic Party supports gun control.

I don't support gun control.

Last I checked, the Democratic Party supports the drug war.

I don't support the drug war.

I also don't support CAFE mileage standards imposed by the federal government that cost autoworkers their jobs.

Those are just a few of the many issues that I don't agree with the Democratic Party on. I am interested in what is best for America.
