Sorry to re-bump this, but I think it is important to mention -- 3 betting is different than open-raising or isolation-raising. A8s is something that you can isolate raise with sometimes, but an isolation 3-bet isn't likely to be profitable with it, especially against a TAG.

Against a good player, you're going to need something with a little more showdown value (and less likelyhood of being hopelessly dominated) before you 3-bet with it -- which almost certainly makes my hand 88+, AQs, AKs/o, unless I was getting really tricky/spewy.

I think had I played this hand better the responses for my hand would have been almost all correct -- as for villain, 99/TT are pretty much equally likely on the river, the way he played it. (Like I said, he should have called my raise)
