Any updates on Winstar? What limits normally get spread there during the week? I will be in the area mid-July and will defintely be dropping in.
[ QUOTE ] *Limit Games* $3 - $6 Hold-em $1 - $3 Blinds $4 - $8 Hold-em $2 - $4 Blinds $6 - $12 Hold-em $3 - $6 Blinds $9 - $18 Hold-em $4 - $9 Blinds $10 - $20 Hold-em $5 - $10 Blinds $20 - $40 Hold-em $10 - $20 Blinds $40 - $80 Hold-em $20 - $40 Blinds [/ QUOTE ] This looks really retarded. Why bother spreading BOTH 3/6 and 4/8? And WTF is up with 9/18 and 10/20? Personally, I'd prefer 9/18, assuming they have $3 chips. Also, is the poker open 24/7? I heard it wasn't when they first started, but it wasn't clear if this was only because they were short staffed or if this was to be a permanent situation. Thanks. |

pvn i was there about two weeks ago. They were running 2/5 5/10 10/20 NL 4/8 5/10 10/20 and 20/40 Limit. Closed at 3am and i believe opened at 3pm though i wasn't there that early. I signed up for 2/5 NL 5/10 and 10/20 limit. The wait for me for 10/20 was about 10 minutes 2/5 a few hours and 5/10 closer to four. It was a Friday night around 6pm.

Thanks for the info. 4/8 and 5/10 in the same room? Brilliant.
3PM-3AM works for me since I'll theoretically be working. In any case, does anyone know if there is a regulatory reason they aren't 24/7 or if they're planning on going 24/7 eventually? |

They have big plans. They will be moving the Poker Room, which is now only about 17 tables, to where the Bingo Room is now. They will then have 50+ tables. The gate on that move and on expanding the Poker Room hours is getting enough dealers trained, not regulatory. However, they will probably never be truly 24/7 since the entire casino shuts down between 6am and 8am. That could be regulatory, don't know.
I made my second trip there on Sunday, May 29 (Memorial Day eve). There were crazy long waits for a table. I got on the board at about 6:45p and got seated around 9pm. I understand the wait can be long on weekends, but not quite that long. Rob (TexBigSlick) |

They are open 4PM to 3AM. They plan on opening at noon very soon when they get more dealers.
On the weekend the waiting list is a mile long. I went on a Mondat and got there at 3:30 and sat right away obviously. We started 7 handed at 4pm and the table was full in about 10 mins. I was playing $2/$5 NL $300/$500 buy in. The players were about 50/50 buying in for min/max. If you bust you can rebuy short one time for $150. If you are down to $100 and want to rebuy, you have to rebuy to at least $300. The game was the most passive Ive ever seen in my life. I played 4 hours and I think there were about 10 preflop raises. Other than hands that I was in, there was exactly 1 hand where someone bet the flop and got raised. Other than that it was bet/call all the way. I won about $800 |
