Television as an immediate staple of American Society.

*Introduction at World's Fair
*Replacement of radio as central entertainment/info source
*Networks

Seriously, for a "history of television" class, this is the paper I think you'll be able to get 20 pages out of, not to mention show a little bit to your professor, who of course has seen your lack of effort in the class.

Your reply to mine showed me at least a little desire to not totally [censored] this up. I used to be a terrible procrastinator too, and kinda still am, but wow - you dug yourself one helluva hole. What level of class is this, if I can ask? I've written papers like this before, even some in HS. Just curious.

Good luck - you need it. Seriously, I hope you get it done.

(Writing two pages without a topic is -EV)

Actually the professor digs me. I've stayed after class a couple of times to help him set up the projector/sound system he was using and we always got into huge liberal discussions and [censored]. It was great.

Well, I wasn't sure if I should do it or not. That's why I started this thread/poll. I dunno what you mean about the level of the class. It was a breeze, the teacher started catching flack because he didn't have enough grades for the semester, so he assigned us a 20-page term paper and said it would count for 95% of our grade (he made this stipulation because I'm sure as hell not the only one in the class that hasn't handed in any work so far). He's a cool guy.

I'm still on page two. I couldn't think of anything to write for awhile, so I'm gonna take the "*Replacement of radio as central entertainment/info source" idea and run with it. Will post update when I reach page five.

are you serious? it's not like it's nuclear physics or ancient zoroastorian history, it's history of TELEVISION. if you can't think of something on your own to write about tv, drop out of school now. you might as well move in to your mom's carhole now, rather than wait until after you graduate to do it.

Considering about a third of people who start college NEVER graduate in their lives, I am definetly putting you in this drop-out third from reading this post.

Never going to class + easiest class ever + considering an F when writing one paper could warrant an A =
stop wasting any time in college and go manage a burger king.

I voted no because, well, writing papers isn't fun.

And I like things that are fun.

I had a similar class as a Communications major and wrote my term paper in one day on the history of satire in the media...You can use the influence of SNL and the fact that more people recognized chevy chase doing his prat-falls as Ford than the president himself, Archie bunker and his influence on race relations in the 70's,The fact that most college age kids form their opinions on current events by watching leno letterman and jon stewart rather than the realnews, the simpsons as a parody of the modern family, South park as a modern day morality play using gross-out humor to make its points, the family guy as an extension of this

I had like 12 pages worth of material in 2 days for what was only supposed to be a 8 page paper.. I got an A and went on ace the class easy... there is tons of material on lexus on this stuff

get it done... think about the partying you can do nexxt semester if you write this one damn paper and i just gave you a topic that should be interestinig to write about.
