7/8 limped the KJs, darn.

Gotta love them quizzes though. Especially I like the fact that in this one you actually lose a hand.

I got 7/8. I missed the first one and folded Q8s.
The funny thing is though that I would call that in an actual 2/4 PP game!
That made me wonder how many of the good SSH students that got most of the answers here are actually putting these in practice and they don't chicken out in real life games?

Heh, just like Entity I got 7 out of 8, taking the free card on the KJ hand. I might be getting good at this game, but then I am still in the kiddie pool.

7/8 also, seems like bunch of ppl got 7 wrong , I think it's because (I'm guessing) most of us are playing micros, while he is talking 2/4.

I'm in these kind of situations all the time, and ppl EXPECT a bluff, so I pretty much never see ppl fold on 4th heads up for 1 bet, 'specially in a biggish pot.

This why you guys got it wrong too?

7 out of 8... I took the free card.

This is something I continue to struggle with, too - when to take the free card and when to bet. Too often when I take the free card I'm basically giving up because I can't call a bet on the river when I miss, even though I might actually have the best hand.

Lot of free-river-card-takers here.. Bet that turn, you might take it down right there. If you don't you can probably take a free showdown if you don't hit the river. If you take a free river card, that just REEKS of "I missed", and he'll bet into you on a rag river with practically anything. Betting the turn costs exactly the same, but you dont look weak until it's too late for him to get any $$ out of you!

Those are all valid points. Still, getting check-raised on that turn without a made hand and ~12 outs would really, really suck.
You could also consider calling his river bet with K high; like you said it'd be the same as betting the turn and checking the river thru.
