This would be amazing. WIth the set plays, include possible situations where it would be applicapable. [/ QUOTE ] Or perhaps two plays. One where it's applicable and one where it's not applicable. I learn more from this than just seeing the positive example. |

Re: Becoming a better poker player
[ QUOTE ]
I have to admit that I don't know any set plays for WA/WB. The only one that I can think of is the check-call/ check/call/ bet line. Are there any others that I should know of? [/ QUOTE ] As far as I know, that's the standard OOP line. In position, you just call if bet into, but bet if checked to (I think). What if you get check-raised? (I'd probably panic and stupidly pay off whatever it is he's got because I'm too curious ) But seriously, all of these lines have little provisions and on-the-fly adjustments to consider, and I'm barely aware of those. Maybe some of the more developed players can help us all by putting together a playbook with good/bad uses of those lines and other gametime considerations. (I really like that idea, but that's not something I'm going to be able to do until summer, if I get to it at all.) |

Re: Becoming a better poker player
Nice post. I really like your idea about enumerating the possible lines on a flop play. Got me thinking about more things concerning my study habits.

Good job duder. If someone would be willing to put together a playbook of set plays, that would be a valuable resource. very valuable. [/ QUOTE ] I'll try. Great post bro. Even though I'm a 2/4 and 3/6 player, reading posts like these keeps me in shape. |
