Clearly they need to get on building the Oyster Bay - Rye bridge. That would greatly simplify my life. (I'm moving to MA, and my girlfriend lives on LI)

Cellphones? Ick, I friggin hate cell phones. People with cell phones annoy the [censored] out of me. [/ QUOTE ] I'd enjoy seeing your car broken down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, waving your prepaid calling card around hoping that someone stops to help you. |

I am amazed how much more comfortable I was at the poker rooms in Vegas - I never realized until now how much of an absolute ZOO Foxwoods is. It truly is the little things that count. But, lucky for them, you can get away with whatever you want when you're the only (legal) game in town...

being harassed by drunk frat boys several times there last weekend got me feeling pretty grumpy. (it gave me a chance to practice not going on tilt while paying $10/hr to fold crappy cards, tho.)

Jeebus, I guess I can't wait to go play somewhere else, then. I've never had a major problem at Foxwoods. I'm a pretty easy-going guy, though, so I don't make a stink about silly stuff.
I deal with the long lines by arriving early in the morning. If I don't get there by 10 on the weekend, that's my fault. If the dealer makes a mistake, I help them out and get the floor involved when necessary; these aren't my fault, but the dealer situation won't improve until dealers keep their own tips. I don't play tournaments often and almost never live, so I can't comment on that aspect of play at the 'woods. I can say, however, that if you don't like to pay 25% juice, just don't play and don't pay it. No one holds a gun to your head to play the tournament. Sit at the cash games and wait for people to bust out. Hell, don't even wait, the play is bad enough as it is |

Don't you guys use cell phones? Last time I went to FW, you were allowed to use the cell phones away from the gaming?

Their tables are taking between 50-100 bucks per hour in rakes. |

Some of this business of changing the rules and times for things at the last minute makes me think Foxwoods may really be run by Indians. Their culture is not as oriented towards things going according to predetermined rules and schedules as ours is.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, it's just that for many months now, they've had everything published as progressing a certain way. It turns out that the majority of the players on Day 2 won only $269, which is $29 more than their buy-in. What's the friggin point? You stay over a couple of nights and spend all that money, and you make 29 bucks? |
