Telling people that extremely weak players equates to a crapshoot is not helpful advice.

Now that is constructive, thanks for taking time to come back to increase the value of your earlier post.

It really is a waste of my time for me to explain why bad players are profitable. The worse they are, the more profitable. No exceptions.

Seriously, spend 2 weeks reading this forum and you'll find that out for yourself. I made the first post because what you posted is so blatently absurd that it is laughable. I appologize for belittling you. You're new here. Read a lot here and you'll learn why your post was wrong.

P.S. - If you want a specific, detail explination, read the section in Small Stakes Hold'em titled "Where the money comes from"

Holy Brown Cow Poker during senior citizen happy hour has by far the choicest games on the net.

The heavy marketing effort toward the assisted living facilities and nursing homes has really paid dividends.

I have been in large pots where my opponents have actually dropped dead and timed out before calling a small bet on the river.

The heavy influx of alzheimer players has also proved to be quite profitable to me. They often become confused during a heated hand. I have also found ways to confuse them through what I say in chat.

So if you are looking for the easiest games, give Holy Brown Cow Poker a shot. All times are good, but during the Senior Citizen Happy Hour Reload Bonus period is the best.

Good luck!

What he said was that UB was a good place to work on your game.

You, on the other hand, saw a low post-count, and a chance to take a cheapshot.

Which, surprisingly enough, you managed to find time for.

Can't comment on UB really since I haven't played there. I can make the comment that if the players at UB are as good as I hear they are, then it is probably not a better place for a beginner to learn. As for me taking a cheap shot at a low count poster, that is ridiculous. I would have had the same response if David Sklansky made that post. I used the fact that he had a low post count to assume that he is new and that he has not done a lot of reading here.

OK, you've got waaaaaaaay more posts than me here, so take my criticism with a grain of salt, but you should know better than I that you can't advertise any type of affiliate kickback here. Please remove it.

affiliate? um no. its s sportsbook that has a poker room that is VERY soft (i will stand by my claim that they are the softest games outside of pacific) and offers REFER A FRIEND BONUS money. i make the same amoutn of money that the person who signs up makes and only once. personally i dont see what the issue is. i am reffering somebody to a good site, with great games and making it more profitable for the bonus hunter and a few bucks for myself.

how about a giant NO

i dont get it, wtf is this forum for? discussion of moniters and the latest party bonus? seriosly, i understand why mat put up the warning about affiliate talk, but since this is not affilated relate i dont feel it applies. if you disagree notify mat of the 'issue' and see what he thinks. if he agrees with you, maybe he will promote you to hall moniter

EDIT: if mat deems what i have posted to be a violation of the rules, i will of course apologize and never do it again. i just dont think it is. of course i am wrong about like 98% of the issues i have an opinion on.

listen, genius: what you're doing is no different from an affilaite spamming this board with "$50 free Party account" and then claiming that it's not spam because he's only making $50 off the deal, just like the guy who signed up.

You're wrong here. You've done this 3 times before, and Mat was notified each time. I don't think you're a bad guy, and your number of posts suggests that you're a valuable asset to the forum -- so let's all make an effort to keep it free of any type of sign-up offers. If you want to make some extra cash, buy a classified ad.

point is, i am not "trying" to make extra cash, thats just an added benefit. what i am doing is giving people a heads up that they can get 50% more bonus money by being reffered by an exisiting member.

lets look at a chain of events here. poster A makes a post asking about a particular poker room. posters B-G make no comment of the fact that when you sign up you can get reffered by somebody and possibly make an extra $100. i come along and check the zoo (which i probably do once every two days) and give VERY good information about this particular room and offer to refer them if they want (them choosing me because i have an excellent reputation on here and they know they will get wahat was agreed to).

so now that i have explained my stance on the subject, i am sure you can see why i disagree with you. mat created the 'no affilate' rule because people were getting besieged withj PM spam and the forum was cluutered with useless "choose me" posts. mine is clearly not of that variety, so relax deputy.

THis will be my past post on this subject. So to boil down your argument: you say it's OK to ask players to let you refer them because you'll both get something out of it.

Substitute "rakeback" for "refer-a-friend" in your post, and you'll (hopefully) see why what you're doing is no better than affiliate spam. Good day. </discussion>
