[/ QUOTE ] The flop call is atrocious. Assuming my turn #'s are correct the turn call is basically even EV, where the flop call is EASILY -EV, with only backdoor draws in a tiny pot.

I agree with 7 outs because I'm not that worried about backdoor clubs. It would be nice to know the CO's river aggression, because I think there is a good chance you could check-raise the river and get 2BB from at least one of them, which would push it a little better than even EV. Also, any 8 may give one of them a second-best one card straight, but may also freeze up the betting on the river when the one-card straight comes in.

[/ QUOTE ] If that's the case, I've got to say that a 3 bet a worse is a possibility that would probably (at least) cancel out the check/raise benefit.

The flop call was horrid, a fold on the turn is correct. Turn our hero has at most 8 outs which is 4.75 to 1, and he is getting 4 - 1 on the call. The hero may even have as little as 6 outs which is 6.6 - 1 How can you call? Dopey [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
