Exactly. From what I've read you seem like a solid small stakes player. I don't see much benefit for you from playing .5/1, even for just whoring. You are also costing yourself money and not learning much by playing .5/1.

Hey Entity, I know you weren't targetting me, but how do these look? (1/2 full after 9k hands)

Button 18.23 12.84
1 18.21 12.83
2 15.37 10.36
3 14.49 9.30
4 12.00 7.24
5 11.31 6.06
6 10.58 4.67
7 10.74 6.34 (only 363 hands here compared to 900ish for the rest)
BB 15.08 7.34
SB 26.14 6.29
Tot 15.62 8.51

I feel like my pre-flop play is leaps and bounds ahead of what it was at 0.5/1, and 6-max experience at Absolute 0.5/1 definitely helped me to be more aggressive in late position. I think I might be raising a tad too much though, since my postflop play unfortunately has not caught up. I feel like I make 5-10 mistakes per 100 hands, with at least 2 of them being "big" mistakes that cost me 3 BB or more. And I also think I'm running bad... -3.05 BB/100 after 9k hands... BR size is almost a non-issue so I think I'll learn more by losing at 1/2 than winning at 0.5/1 as long as I'm not tilting.

I dont think you're running that bad.
If you have 2 errors of 3BB every hundred hands, thats 6 BB lost. Plus the other few errors that might cost 1 BB, thats like overall lost profit of around 10 BB/100. So you could be upwards of 7BB/100 if you play mistake free. Now, since everyone makes some errors, maybe that will drop to 2-3BB/100.

Yea, I agree, I realized that too after posting... hmm, that would be a 3 BB to a -3 BB/100 swing... but I say running bad by looking at the 5 best hands. AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AKs are all running at least 0.5 BB/hand below what they're supposed to be, and JJ and AKs are both losing money for me right now.

The numbers look fine but I wonder how much your game has changed (improved) over that many hands. You would probably get a better idea of how your .5/1 game is by looking at the last few months or the last 10 or 15K hands (depending on how often you play .5/1)

You both need to be playing more hands from the Button and raising more from late position.
