Re: Suggestions for a new driver?
...He hates for his hands to sting. These bats have anti-sting technology
I've never used this expression before, but I think it's appropriate here: You got pwned. |

Two questions: Any recommendations for a new driver? Anyone have/played with the Cleveland TA2's? Like? jujujaja34 [/ QUOTE ] This time of year many courses have a "demo day" where all the manufacturers bring their stuff for you to hit. Call your local golf shops to inquire. If you cannot find one, at least demo some stuff from the local shop before purchasing. The name means nothing (except big $$$), the fit is everything. JTrout |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I thought coughing up $100 for a little league bat for my son was painful... [/ QUOTE ] Are you [censored] kidding me? Wtf? [/ QUOTE ] He's in his second year of coach pitch... [/ QUOTE ] Sweet Jesus! I expected you to at least tell me he's another high school baseball prodigy. Second year of coach pitch???!!! A $100 bat???!!! WTF???!!! [/ QUOTE ] Before I thought that your WTF? was referring to him whining about buying something for his son that only cost $100. Now I see that you're siding with him that it's a lot of money. I obviously have no idea what a bat is supposed to cost these days. I think the last bat my sister had for softball was like $70 or something 9 years ago. She wasn't a rank beginner though. All-all kinds of [censored]. ~D |

Re: Suggestions for a new driver?
real answer:
any namebrand head, at least 9*, will do fine. get an aldila NV shaft. its the emerald colored shaft the pros use. I had a speeder 757 X shaft and broke it the other day. I will probably replace it with the aldila. I have one of them in my 3wood already and it ROCKS |

Then have a him build you a custom club using component parts. It will be cheaper and you will get a better club for you. |

Re: Suggestions for a new driver?
irons-
i work part time at a golf course so i get free golf and play a whole lot. i use ta7's and they are the best irons ive ever hit. if you like being rewarded with a sweet feel when you hit the ball right instead of it feeling like you just hit a baseball then go with ta7's. they have a shock obsorbing cavity back that allows this to happen. driver- for the love of god never get a callaway c4 driver! if you are looking for a great driver use a ping ist tec. my dad has one and i would always use his so i decided to get one. it is extremely long, in fact some of the champion long drivers still use the heads of these combined with a longer 50" shaft to win competitions. if you are really looking for distance in a driver then go with a bang-o-matic club head. |
