Re: Got my Dell 2001FP...

it does still say plug and play monitor, but I put the disk that came with the monitor in and it said that I already had the best match for my equipment [/ QUOTE ] this is your problem. you probably need your monitor drivers installed. right click desktop -> properties -> settings -> advanced -> monitor -> properties -> driver -> update driver pop in the cd. if it tells you that you already have the best match, you need to override this. i think theres an option to 'choose from the list of all compatible drivers' or something. |

Re: Got my Dell 2001FP...
You can. But you make enough on your poker roll to just go ahead and card the thing into your local CompUSA, etc and have them install it for you. That way you don't have to worry about Fing something up and if they F it up, you can bust their nuts with a ball-peen hammer.

I think you missed my first sentence... People can do a lot of things they pay others to do for them.

Can I install that myself if I don't know much about computers? [/ QUOTE ] On an install scale of light bulb to kidney, a video card is basically equivalent to a halogen bulb. It goes in very easily, you just have to be careful while putting it in. |
