I still dont understand why the show has to be accessable to the uninitiated poker player. They have already built a large fan base over the past few years, so shouldnt they give credit to the group of people who watch that they know a little bit about poker? Granted, most poker players are idiots (thank god) but i really wanted to see this show on tv. No one knows crap about draw, which was the original for of poker. (i think)

That's a great find, thanks for the link. Initially, Chau and Howard's calls on each other's hands seemed spectacular but after watching a few more hands it seemed to be the norm.

And finally, I see the live quote from Chau after went all-in in PLO: "I love poker"

Default Warning: Spoiler on who wins.

Nice find ClaytonN. I love lowball and to watch these great players pit their skills against eachother is awesome. Nice to see Barry G. get his first bracelet too.

It was fun to see the more social side of the players. I was lmao when Barry Greenstein was eating the fries of the guy who just got knocked out.

Relevant content: Also make sure to check out Greg Raymer's commentary on the final table of the main event last year. Now THAT is truly the best version of a televised poker event I have seen.

The free preview is over! Nuts! I don't suppose anyone captured either of the poker shows, did they?

I'm not sure I buy the whole "lowball is a major skill game" angle. The players seem to have a lot more trouble and a lot more decisions to make in hold 'em compared to that game.

Seems lowball has a lot more automatic decisions and relies heavily on the luck of the draw... more so than hold 'em where I believe there's a lot more going on psychologically as well.

Also, bluffing doesn't seem to be a huge factor in the game. You can see people in hold 'em move all in with rags, but do you see people making the same move in lowball holding a boat? I'm sure it happens, but I think in hold 'em it's a much bigger problem to consider during play.

The fact that the calibre of the final table would pretty much contradict my views, I am sticking to that opinion unless someone can change my mind.
