Re: Comment
At a higher rate in the black community though but you're right. I'd also point out that over 50% of black households now own their properties. I for one believe that the civil rights movement that gained momentum in the second half of the 20th century was a great for this country and we're all better off for it having happened and extremely fortunate that it did. Also the thing that makes me proudest of being a citizen of the U.S. is the progress that I've seen in my lifetime in civil rights and race relations.

Re: Hoe-Dee-Doo-Da-Day!!! Its MLK Day, yo...........
[ QUOTE ]
....haven't the blacks come far from their slavery bondage at the hands of cracka?? Thanks in part to the 2-timing, ho-humping, MLK-hoe-dee-doo-da-day, the inner cities are fraught with single mother, grandma-raising, crack addicts. If you think about, the average inner city black male is just doing today, what MLK spent a lifetime doing - banging bitches in the 'hood. Great memories. HOE-DEE-DOO-DA-DAY [/ QUOTE ] I've been abstaining from the politics section, but I couldn't stay out of this post. All men have flaws, some men more than others. But to make fun of a day that celebrates equality and freedom is just wrong. |

"Zaxx isn't a racist."
Now that you mention it, I believe Zaxx is more than a little prejudiced against Arabs and Muslims - but, for the record, I didn't say any such thing! I was, of course, referring to the racism and bigotry of our inestimable Wogga. "There's no need to use ethnic/religious slurs to make your point." The 'kike' reference was necessary to make the point. Do make the effort to understand it, please. (Hint: It is a term that is being used by Christians; just like those folks who currently profess the greatest of sympathies for Israel. Like Wogga.) "There's also no need to connect this guy with Christianity when this had nothing to do with his stupid racist point. When "this guy" hides behind his professed strong religious beliefs, it is necessary to call him on it. Because the vast majority of Christians are decent folks. It is also important to point out, IMO, that Christian fundamentalists such as Wogga (who wants to pretend that "they're just one of the boys, really") are as dangerous as any other fundamentalists. "The 2nd stupidest post I've seen in a long while." I'll try harder next time. |

Re: Avis
Now that you mention it, I believe Zaxx is more than a little prejudiced against Arabs and Muslims
Now that you made such a statement please provide some evidence for this ridiculous assertion. I can guarantee you I have been friends with more Arabs and Muslims then 99% of the people on this board. I lived in Montreal which is presently about 15% Arab and actually find Arabs to be very personable and friendly as well as generous and loyal friends. While I might see the situation in the Near East alot different than most Arabs(we've pretty much stopped trying to discuss it reasonbably) that certainly hasnt manifested into some general distrust of all Arabs. Do I think the Arabs in the middle east are by and large brainwashed and hostile to the US and Israel...yup. Do I think most Arab countrys are backward, repressive, and sexist, rascist, ant-semitic, and anti- christian? yup. Do I think the arabs in the "occupied territories" have been educated to hate Jews, Americans...and therefore are dangerous and on some level maniacs? Certainly. Watch their T.V. stations, read their newspapers and textbooks, and look at any reputable poll... Does any of this translate into rascism?? Not really. Perhaps you dont understand what rascism is. Its a systematic belief that one race is inherently superior to another. n : a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others [syn: racialist] I dont believe any of my posts referred to any beliefs that could be even remotely construed as rascist. Perhaps this is a question of semantics and or diction...Ive noticed you have some problems generally with understanding the exact meaning of words and the precise way they are to be properly used. |

Christian fundamentalists are "dangerous" in what way? I'm not the biggest fan of the guys, but they sure haven't flown any planes into building recently.

[/ QUOTE ] Perhaps you did not understand what I wrote. Here it is again, in its entirety: "I believe Zaxx is more than a little prejudiced against Arabs and Muslims." Note that there is a difference between prejudice and racism. [ QUOTE ] Ive noticed you have some problems generally with understanding the exact meaning of words and the precise way they are to be properly used. [/ QUOTE ] You have been abusing the English language far too heavily in the short time span you've been posting here. Diligence is a sin from which you will forever be abstaining. Much as I'd welcome your teaching me a few things about the Queen's own, you are not qualified, unfortunately. |

Re: Incontrovertible
Now the complete quote....
"Zaxx isn't a racist." Now that you mention it, I believe Zaxx is more than a little prejudiced against Arabs and Muslims - but, for the record, I didn't say any such thing! I was, of course, referring to the racism and bigotry of our inestimable Wogga. what you just did is called equivocation....look it up. Say such a thing?? What thing...that I was a racist surely... If someone asks me is Adolph Hitler was a racist...and then I answer in the affirmative using a word that has a slightly different meaning(prejudiced, xenophobe,....)that really means Im responding in the affirmative to the question(that hes a rascist)If you didnt mean to say im a rascist FIRST you would have said "no I dont think he is a rascist, but...." Secondly Im not even prejudiced against arabs... I might be prejudiced against alot of Geopolitical views they might hold; but in that case most republicans ARE prejudiced against people from the Northeast.... |
