If you play under the same handle at Party then I have you as a solid player. But you don't scare me. You may need to vary your play more.

OTOH, I agree that variance is likely a large part of the issue here.

I agree. I've read a number of posts suggesting getting into games above a certain average pot size is the way to go. But if you're 5th in the list you can be sure that will not be a good table by the time you get a seat.

I've taken to trolling the lower average pot tables looking for those that are LP. Then I can come in and juice them up.

Buddy list.

And datamine, you really want to have a bunch of tables up observing if you don't play a day during your normal hours. Filling up the buddy list is the road to greatness.

How often do you cold call pre-flop now?

While I ask a question, posting hands you felt unsure of while playing and cannot figure out when you review is the best way to improve or just get a grip on variance.
