Exactly. Similar to having the guys in the movie "Boiler Room" watch and quote the movie "Wall Street"... "Art" imitating "Art"... [/ QUOTE ] Meh, that was a little different. The guys in Boiler Room (great movie) were actually sitting there watching the movie and reciting the lines. The line in Tilt was reused by the writers and had no part of the scene had anything to do with Rounders. If the writers wanted to make homages to Rounders they could have actually done it (and they may yet do so). This just seemed like lazy writing to me, but I'm sure that won't be the last time that happens. |

What was the line? I haven't seen Rounders over 50 times yet.

Pulp Fiction was Citizen Kane compared to this. I liked Pulp Fiction too.

Yeah. Great black and white movie. Lots of cool stuff, and I found it really interesting.

the acting was better than i thought, the message of the first episode was terrible.the idea that poker is a game where you will lose your ass to sharps is not appealing to those just starting out or thinking about starting to play. anyone think that TJ and negreanu in the same scene ws kind of funny considering their respective reputations, and the cehating theme? as far as the general public goes it may be entertaining but is most probably a step backwards/in the wrong direction for promoting the game to new players boooooooooooooooo. i hope the show redeems itself.
