[ QUOTE ]
When does one Qualify or Officialy becomes a Pro.

....if you stop going to work every day( if you have a job), and rely stricking on the money you make from poker. You can consider yourself a pro. If you rely on other sources of income, you cannot become a card carrying pro.

Thats why so many of the AC players do not become card carrying pros. Most players who dont work ,dont rely on poker as their main source of income. Some deal drugs, some pimp out their girls, some sell illegal cable boxes some even belong to a syndicate that beats slot machines. None of those guys can become card carrying pros.

Anyone who has to borrow money to play can become a card carrying pro.

Is there such an entity as a Professional Poker Board, (like the American Bar Association, Medical Board,)

No.

May sound like silly questions to some, but I don't know!!, thats why I'm asking

Not silly, just strange

Part of it is when players in your cardroom refer to you as a pro when talking to other players.

When I meet other players (other 2+2ers in a casino, etc.), I always ask them if they play full time, not if they are pro.

Well, I guess, the bank could "anoint" someone a pro when they reject their loan application due to the fact they make their living playing poker.
