Speaking of needing a catcher next year. They didnt trade off Dioner Navarro as well did they? If they did.....We're screwed. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah trading a prospect is really going to screw The Yankees. You people are way to in love with future potential. Maybe that kid is a player maybe he's not. There is no way of knowing. Same for that pitcher previously mentioned. I remember when Jose Offerman was considered the best short stop prospect in a generation, and well it didn't quite work out. |

Tino is coming back to and that is a big move also. This team could win about 115 games this year.

I agree with you. But its just not cool. You know what I am saying. Even without RJ they were favorites this year. I'd rather go in being favorites and keep some stock for the future.
Were you a Yankee fan in the 90's? |

Round about 1985 I bought my fist pack of baseball cards (fleer with white boarder) and Don Mattingly was the only good card I got, he became my favorite player, and thus the Yankee's were my favorite team.

Who cares if they traded Navarro. The Yankees are now done with raising their prospects. Each year they go out and get whatever position player they need from free agency. All they are going to do is just get whatever top catcher free agent is available the year that they decide Jorge no bueno no mas.
In about 5 years they are going to be like the New York Rangers in the NHL, mark my words. |

Good choice, my roommate is a diehard Met fan, hates the Yankees and Don Mattingly is probably his all time favorite player.
So do you remember when the Yankees pulled this [censored] from 1986 till 1994? "How could you trade Jay Buhner!?" |
