It's not a bluff. Does that help?

Yes, I think the pot is big enough and the flop worked to your favor to such an extent that this was a good adjustment.

now that i read the other posts, i don't understand something. why did you post if you don't want to hear what most say? it seems most think you did not play this correctly, it happens, but learn from it if you post a question.

But the critics of this play have yet to craft a convincing argument why Hero was incorrect, whereas those who do like the play have explained very well why it was wise, especially the author.

Nice hand, but I'm not sure the rive bet has value,

In fact if he has the busted draw, you stand to gain more by check calling his bluff.

I was going to make a seperate post, until I saw this one. Sarge is absolutely correct. The only mistake you made was to bet the river. Check calling is a must. The type of opponent you describe will call the river with any pair and will fold his busted draw. But they also will often take a poke at the river when you show weakness. Plus if you check he might check behind bottom pair or something like that. In short, check-calling lets you make more money when you are ahead and save money when you are behind.

I'm with Sarge. Given the size of the pot on the flop and your read on the LAG, I like the line you took except for the river bet.

Do you think he folded a worse hand?

nope, which is why check/call is a better river play... to induce the bluff. under normal playing conditions, when modoh gets called... overwhelming amount of time he is beat. not to mention it would be hard/almost foolish to call a potential bluff raise.
