Why would people with high IQs be very good at learning and recalling information in all academic pursuits except spelling? And even if a group is "notorious" for having a certain quality, that does not mean it is true. [/ QUOTE ] No, there is a slight inverse correlation between IQ and spelling ability, actually, it is probably a bell-curve relationship. Probably has something to do with the mind of the very smart being analytical and logical over just remembering things, there is not direct relationship between knowledge and intellegence either. Many people know lots of things, but how no idea how to use that knowledge. |
