So your advice is, that when drawing to a flush how high it is, is almost irrelevant?

I know my odds for making the flush.
My concern was how to figure out the odds needed, when taken into consideration that even if making the flush, I might still lose to a higher flush?
But from your responses, I should apprently always play, as if I'm th eonly one making it?
