Default Re: New Bin Laden tape - a reminder of Bush\'s biggest Failure

Can't make a snap judgment about this, I believe. For example, I heard on Fox News (yeah) that Osama could be in reality trying to get people to vote for Bush, because of his LAGgyness giving them more support. And his strategy might be to act like he's supporting Kerry instead, to try some kind of reverse psychology maneuver.

It's not fact though, just hypothesis. It'd be hella nice to see what Osama's true intentions are in this tape. If I was voting, this would be the time to make a decision. But you've got to be pretty strong that you know what you're doing. Ain't no bigger issue than terrorism, and whoever is going to fight it more effectively should probably be our next President. And this tape could offer some major clues into who is more effective at fighting terrorism more effectively.

"A new Bin Laden tape is out today.

This should remind everyone just how completely Bush has failed to handle the 9/11 aftermath. This guy would be caught or dead under any competent President."

I think looking at it in this results oriented way is kind of stupid, but if you want to do that, it is amazing to me that there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11, that is quite impressive.

to clarify though, i don't know how much credit bush should get for there being no terrorist attacks and how much of that is just the way things were going to turn out anyway... same thing for bin laden. i'd rather take a look at the methods he used in approaching the problme.

I think he is trying to influence the election. If he is stupid, he wants Kerry since his speech, no matter what he says, benefits Bush (online gambling sites show they agree, as Bush is more of a favorite now). If he is shrewd, he wants Bush, as his speech will probably help Bush.

I think personally for Bin Laden, its probably been tough on him. His organization has grown by leaps and bounds, recruiting is an all time high, and anti-American sentiment in the world, particularly the Arab world is surging. However, he is the most wanted man in the world, which is tough on the old sick fuckhead.

So maybe OBL is undecided! Possibly he just wanted to say "hahaha Bush listen to the pet goat I am still here!"
