Re: Dell v. Samsung
The natural resolution of the Dell monitor is 1600x800. Unlike CRT's changing the resolution can make the image a little fuzzy or distorted as it uses several "1600x800" pixels to subsitute for your new resolution's pixel size. You should be fine by reducing the resolution to divisor of the 1600x800 (say 800x600). Try it out and see if the images is clearer.
The Dell monitor has a knob which allows you to zoom up on the images.... (On Screen Display Settings - hitting the fourth button from the right, then select "position settings"). don't know if it helps. Still, the monitor has a lot of cools frills, like picture-in-picture. PS don't know anything about the samsung, but the widescreen thing would be awesome for dvd watching... |

Re: Dell v. Samsung
I don't have the Dells so I can't compare, but my 2 Samsung 213T's have worked great for me. They are beatiful to look at. The pictures and colors are top quality. I have no regrets about getting them. Had I known about the Dells before I got these, I would've probably bought the Dells because they are cheap and so highly recommended by everyone here. Other than the higher price I paid for the Samsungs, I love them and I'm sure you will too if you get them.

Re: Dell v. Samsung
The native resolution of a Dell 2001FP is 1600x1200 which perfectly fits 4 tables.
I own 2 Dell 2001FP and 4 Planar PX191 19" LCD. While the Planar is the superior monitor IMHO it has a 1280x1024 native resolution because of it's 19" size. |
