Let this be my official "I like Mike Sexton" endorsement post.

He gets ripped a lot because of the overall cheesy presentation of WTP - which includes Vince Van Patten's hyperbole - but he is truly one of the good guys in poker. He just loves the game and has done so much for the growth that we now see.

"Well, that's why I wouldn't want you holding my cards, Vince."

I'm a bit skeptical of this. Is the the WPT secure enough to allow analysts to actually critique play, particularly when mistakes were made? Remember the image the WPT is promoting,
that these are all "great" players at a final table. Will
Howard and company be total honest towards a Gus Hansen, for example, when they might be competing against them a week later in Vegas?

[ QUOTE ]

Will feature pros Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke, and Phil Hellmuth with Mike Sexton giving unrehearsed analysis of Final Table situations from the just-aired show...

[/ QUOTE ]

"Unrehearsed?" Joke. WPT episodes air months after the tournaments are actually played. The analysts will have plenty of time to formulate their opinions. That's not a bad thing, but while the show might technically be unrehearsed, it's misleading to suggest that Sexton et al. will be giving on-the-fly analysis.

Daniel and Annie together? I'm not sure that's the best idea, chemistry-wise.

That may be the best idea I've ever heard. Think Ron MacLean would co-host?

Better yet, Daniel, Annie, and Phil? Did you see the TOC? The entertainment value should be awesome.

I had heard they 'patched up' and settled their differences with one another a while ago, so we'll see how they work with one another.

Personally I would have liked to have seen PAUL PHILLIPS instead of Annie Duke.
