what is annie duke doing on the Tournament of Champions?

Well I see this post has 19 replies without anyone actually answering the question.

Annie Duke is on the tournament for one reason alone. The People who voted on an espn survey had her in the top 9 of players they wanted to see. Those top 9 along with this years winner were asked to enter the tournament of champions.

So why is Doyle Brunson in the tourament field?

The woman in their should be Kathy Liebert. She is the best female tournament player..and the most successful by a lot.
She has been on the WPT twice (not counting ladies night). Annie Duke and Harmon have made it none (Harmon did once, but was put in as a pro).

Really the reason Duke was put in is because she is the best known pro. She has done a great job marketing herself, which she deserves a lot of credit for.

I find Annie Duke a great poker player, as well as being incredibly sexy and funny. Someone I would definetely like to be aquainted with. I find it hard to believe all these rumors. Maybe they are just that... made up by people she outplayed at some point? =)

Well Doyles there because he is the wisest poker player on earth. There are different reasons for different players, although i did find that post funny.
