The size of the bet doesnt make you a compulsive gambler, its how much you do it!!!!

that tv segment was totally staged. do you really think ivey is dumb enough to bet 10K on a golf shot? im sure these guys are big gamblers. but one thing i have noticed about most successful compulsive gamblers, they only take bets in which the odds are in thier favor. I just cant imagine that ivey, lederer, and the other guy are dumb enough to gamble on golf. Makes no sense.

Clearly you haven't read "The Biggest Game In Town."

The size of your bankroll doesn't determine if your a compulsive gambler or not - just the size of the bet your willing to make.

LOL - What is this magical bet size that will determine whether I'm a compulsive gambler?

My favorite bet was where John Hennigan got paid $100k to live in Des Moines IA for a month. I doubt Hennigan even knew where Des Moines was and imagine the locals reaction to a british gambler moving into town.

WOW did that not read like I meant it.

I meant to write that your bankroll determines your bet size. to Jordan $500K might be like $50 to us.

But he would be every bit as compulsive a gambler if he is betting $500K on everyhing, just like we would bet $50.

Sorry for the confusion - glad I could create some laughs

On a side note, doesn't it seem strange that Lederer is a compulsive gambler like the rest of them (like the rest of "us", actually). He seems like the responsible Joey Knish grinder type who never makes unreasonable bets...

Read Poker Face by his sister, Katy lederer. Howard made his money betting sports, and wasn't always successful.

What about the 1 million dollar match between howard, doyle, mike sexton and huck seed. The big pros are gamblers.

Anyone know how frequent they golf and where they golf? I'd love to make thousands of dollars of them
