It took me about three rounds of this game to finally figure out that holding onto aces was stupid.

2-3-4-5-7. That's why it's called Duce to seven.

Someone needed to slap you up side the head.
Did you play it limit, PL or NL?

we were having more fun w/ triple draw 2-7.

Chowaha was much more fun than triple draw.

That's who I was guessing that he meant. I guess Gabe is a pretty rare name for more than one person to assume the same guy.

Default Crazy Fox...sweet!

I'd probably play crazy fox like Omaha hi and draw only to the nuts. That being said, I would probably fold the flop.
If you want to get tricky with small non-nut flushes, you could raise the flop and drive out higher flushes that are also non-nut if you think this would work.

Do both hole cards have to play on the river?

Oh, I actually knew that str8s were no good. The problem was that I picked up the str8 6 after the first draw, and only improved to a smooth 10 low. Josh beat me with a raggedy 8 or 9.

No. It's hold-em on the river, so you can play both hole cards, one hold card, or play the board.

Sounds like Omaha morphing into crazy Pinapple into hold em.
Sounds like fun. Try it pot limit next time, and see if that spices it up a bit.
