[ QUOTE ]
It is a virus but Norton said it can't fix it on its own so it gave me instructions on how to do it manually, but I still couldnt fix it. [/ QUOTE ] If you are using Windows XP it is likely you never disabled system restore before running Norton. Read the removal instructions carefully and do exactly as you are told. It will work. |

I know for sure that I disabled system restore, but there was a part of the removal instructions that confused me so maybe that is where I messed up. The problem I have now is that I deleted it then since IE was messed up I went back and resaved the backup to the registry and now the part it tells me to delete is no longer there but I still have the virus warning from norton. I have someone who told me if I give them $65 they can fix everything they find wrong with it but I have to leave my computer for a week. A week without poker, how could I deal with that lol. I guess that might be my only option to fix it since I can't seem to do it right.

There are quite a few fake versions of adAware out there, you may have downloaded and installed one of those
I still reckon spysweeper is the best Dink |

yep I know that now! I caught a bad DL of it off of Kazaa way back when. I am using Norton Internet Security now but Norton helps clean up the adware.
