Re: To Me, It\'s Simple
I can buy that explanation about the advance fold and why it works that way.

Re: To Me, It\'s Simple
Still, it would be better if "advance fold" merely checked every street until there was a bet to you, and accepted a free showdown when possible.

Re: To Me, It\'s Simple
I initially thought the same thing when I read bobby's post. But that could lead to a problem. For example, the phone rings and you press advance fold on the turn and leave the computer. But no one bets the turn and the system keeps your hand alive. Then, someone bets the river except that you are still away. You will then be put all-in. I guess that problem could be solved if the system automatically maintains the advance fold for the river in case there is a bet but anyway...

Re: 20-40 Hand at the Commerce
There is a discussion going on this in the poker theory forum. It revolves around this article by Bob Ciaffone:
http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_maga...es/?a_id=13591 The thread is interesting, I beleive there are valid arguments on both ends of the spectrum as to whether you should be able to fold in turn with no bets or not. |
