heard from Kevin at first break. 11k in chips. A bunch of 83o and two AA's. One won the blinds and one he reraised a preflop raiser and didn't see a flop. He also made a running nut flush and his opponent paid off a small river raise.

So far so goot.

WSOP Main Event - Update #3 -

1:45pm Vegas time......Bob doubled up when he flopped a set of queens and got all-in against pocket Aces.

He won another small hand after that worth around T1000 and is currently sitting as the table chip leader with approximately T16000.

Keep it up!

WSOP Main Event - Update #2 -

Got the second update approximately 12:45pm Vegas time.

They were at the first break 100 minutes into Day 1.

Bob's stack is sitting at T6625 and he is the short stack at the table. Whenever he gets AQ or a similar type hand he hasn't connected. Chan is sitting around T8500 so as Bob stated, "If I'm barely trailing Chan I must be ok."

Bob said they had not announced the final number of registrations but the registrations were officially closed at the first break. He thought it was at around 5900 when they started and figured around 6000 or so was probably the final number.

Bob also relayed a story he heard from his friend who was over watching the featured table. Now I'm telling this as heard from Bob who heard it from his friend who witnessed the hand so bare with me and I apologize if the details are not exact. Jennifer Harman is at the featured table and flopped two pair with her JT. She then turned a full house and ended up losing the hand when someone else caught a straight flush on the river. He heard she was steaming and got up to walk around. His friend stated the hand crippled her chip stack but didn't state how much of her stack was committed to the pot.

Great little story from the floor of the main event.

Go get em Bob!

Main Event - First Update-

Around 11:40am Vegas time the first update came with a brief call from the WSOP Main Event.

Bob's chip stack was down to 8700.

He just lost with top pair to a straight.

He didn't state how many entries there were or if they were playing 10 or 11 handed but he did state he had Johnny Chan at his starting table. Nice table draw.

It was a very brief call....hopefully can get more info on the next update.

Kevin at 8600 at 2nd break. Not much happened in the level. Couple of cont bets got snapped. K high flop after a free play w/ K7 in BB and bet and was called on flop, turn brought a small diamond (3 diamonds on board). He bets out half pot and guy sticks in half his stack, Kev folds.

Called some small preflop raises w/ small pairs trying to flop a set and whiffed.

Blinds going to 100-200.
