Default This forum is populated with Masochists!!!

So far I've seen numerous posts about problems with sites and the only repsonses are
1) Its all your fault!
2) You are lying!
3) Who cares, we like it this way!
This isnt cynicism, it is blind stupidity to facts around you. Enjoy oh sheep.

Must be a hell of a lot of players who enjoy being toyed with by greedy corporations and beleive it is thr RIGHT way of the world.

What facts are you referring to? How do they apply to Party Poker? The only thing I saw in this thread is that the OP can't keep his email secure.

This whole gladiator thing is grossly overused. Let it go, come up with something original.

I think the op in this one has a valid claim surey in these circumstances an email isnt good enough.

However the cynicism you are finding here is that 99% of these type of posts (that come up routinely here every week) that start off being theif/account locked etc etc etc as time goes on generally turn into somthing either not true, missing key facts etc etc.

So there is a lot of cynacism here towards any of these claims particulary from lower count or new posters whose first posts are their tale of woe.

Those that present true facts can generally get the the zoo on their side and can get good results just generally people take some convincing and generally the claims are not true.

This is certainly a troubling situation, and I really question Party's decision making skills here with regard to turning over the account.

Of course, I also question the decision making skills of somebody that has never played poker (and their teacher) who puts $2000 into an online account and never touches it for four months. That seems like a very large starting bankroll for a novice player. I guess her risk aversion is very high.

Lesson Learned.

Apparently he accessed my e-mail

So actually you meant to say that your email provider is not safe, not your money on party poker?

Email is really easy to spoof, particularly if the recipient only looks at the From: header.

Exactly. If a site, any site, will look at the From portion of an email, match it to the email address they have on file, and then proceed to make requested changes, we are in big trouble. All I need to know, presumably, is that you have an account at the site, and the email address you used to set the account up. I can send an email from any email address you would like, no password, or email access of any kind required. I don't even need to have an email address of my own.

I find it hard to believe that any commercial site would act based on the from address alone, because it is so easy.

Everyone knows you work for UB, why not post this under a different name? I'm not saying you're lying, but this is a cynical group when it comes to shills and bashers.
