Re: Heads up out of position with a TAP
flop is terrible, now is the time to establish your hand's relative strength on a monotone board, not when it's expensive. You give a sole club, or AK or KQ the chance to catch up cheaply and then you're struggling.
I bet/3bet the flop here and if it's capped by a good player I'd be worried about being up against JJ or a flush. I'd bet out (and call a raise) on a non-club non AK turn. But otherwise calling down. Heads up I'm not smart enough to lay down a set. Re: Heads up out of position with a TAP
[ QUOTE ]
how can you not be afraid of AA, KK, JJ, or a flush here? [/ QUOTE ] Well, on the flop, you're ahead of 2 of those hands. [ QUOTE ] I think that If I lead at the flop I set myself up for disaster. By leading at him he's smart enough to know that I'm only going to lead into someone who three bet the flop with a monster or a perfect read on him, most likely the monster. Same thing if I check raise the flop. [/ QUOTE ] Disaster? Talk about seeing monsters... You should be betting/c/r'ing this with lesser hands on the flop also. You don't need the nuts to bet. [ QUOTE ] Against any other opponent I play this hand like described above, lead at him, and hope he raises, so I can 17 bet the flop, and 19 bet the turn. Check and call the river..lol. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, even against a more passive opponent? Good luck. b |
