I am delighted that you believe that poker has helped you to develop discipline. That's a central theme of "Business is a poker game."
Right now I'm taking a break from editing Chapter Thirteen, "Winners focus on the long term." Let me quote from its last page. "Emphasize making good decisions, and minimize short-term results. "Poker, business, and life always include ups and downs. If you worry too much about them, you’ll distract yourself from the important issue: Did you make the right decision? "When something goes wrong, don’t play 'wudda, cudda, shudda' games. Instead, ask, 'Did I make the right decision, the one that will usually produce the best long-term results?' "If the answer is 'Yes,' don’t worry about the results. If the answer is 'No,' work on your decision-making skills." Every poker winner understands that principle, and it applies to business, investing, and all other types of decisions.
