Netflix.
They have a shipping center in Louisville (on Poplar Level Rd). (I live in Louisville too). If you drop a DVD in the mail on Monday, you'll have the next one on Thursday usually. |

Netflix. In San Francisco I'll usually get new movies on Wed. if I send them out Mon. Also, for those of you buying movies....look into getting a dvd-r and for $19/mo you've "bought" as many new movies as you can send out for

Right now I have a Blockbuster movie pass that's about 25 bucks a month for unlimited rentals. The Blockbuster is about 2 minutes from my house, and I'm an extremely whimsical person. I hear everyone talking about how good Netflix is, but if I had to pick my DVD's out 3 days in advance, I'd probably not be interested in watching them by the time they got to me. However, I am often extremely frustrated by the lack of selection at my Blockbuster. They don't even have 90's stuff like Magnolia or Ed Wood, much less some other older films that people have recommended to me like Blue Velvet, Pink Flamingos, etc.
Do you think your typical 20 year old with a 10 minute attention span would be better off with Netflix? Or should I stick with Blockbuster? Thanks, -Brian |
