Re: ESPN Baseball Power Rankings (off-season)
[ QUOTE ]
Please. They have two decent starting pitchers, and one of them is hurt half the time! [/ QUOTE ] no. They have one great starter, Ben Sheets, and two above average guys Doug Davis and Capuano (who's only 26). |

Ben Sheets sucked in 05 too. [/ QUOTE ] Um, there is by no definition of the word this is true. His K/9? 8.09 which would put him just outside of the top ten in the NL. ERA+? 127, which puts him in the top ten. BB/9? 1.43, better than *anyone* that qualified. |

Re: ESPN Baseball Power Rankings (off-season)
From what I have read, the Indians doctors are quite proud that they identified years ago that Thome was not worth the big $$ contract due to his health problems. I don't really see them getting him again; they know he is damaged goods.

Re: ESPN Baseball Power Rankings (off-season)
Who woulda thought the #1 and #2 teams for the 2006 season are from the AL central. Apart from the Mets being so high, I think these rankings are pretty decent. Stros should probably have made that top 10 though. I do think Clemens has run his course, however.

Yeah if they do end up losing Damon/Manny there's a chance they finish at the bottom of the east next year.
