Re: Crazy Hand at the Taj (long)
it was definitely one of the more entertaining hands i've witnessed, you could just feel it in the air that whoever won the pot would be the person with clearly the worst hand to begin with...afterwards the open shirted guy was still kind of yelling, telling the winner he had no business being in the pot in the first place, he justified his 100+ preflop call with AJ by saying something like, "i know if two jacks come i'm going to win"
i think i would have enjoyed it more if i wasn't concentrating so intently on not saying anything that might clue the guy in as to what i was really thinking |

Re: Crazy Hand at the Taj (long)
the content wasn't nearly as funny as the way he presented it and described everyone. subtle things like "8:30am at night" are original and funny, and anyone who's played at a casino can relate to it. the story itself wasn't really that funny.

Re: Crazy Hand at the Taj (long)
So you were there? Who were you at that table? I was the guy in the ramones hat.
Yeah, all my numbers are off, but, like I said...it was late. Still... I was back to even, and that's what matters! |

Re: Crazy Hand at the Taj (long)
i humbly apologize for my poor attempt to segue from the last post in the thread at the time i read the post, i really in no way meant to disparage the OP's creative writing ability
and to answer the OP's question i was the guy sitting directly on AJ's right, don't even remember a ramone's hat, like you said it was late, when i read the post even though i was there i really still didn't know if it was 8:30 am or pm |
