I've tried putting in the history in a dozen different ways and none are working. Could someone that has the decoder working try putting in an invalid hand history and see what error it gets so I'll know if that's my problem?

If you look at the hand history, you likely have a comment by another player inbetween the player posting values. So something like.
Seat10: b ($100)
X Posts SB (2)
z: I love everybody here tonight because I'm drunk and I liek to type
y Posts BB (5)
****Summary******

I initialy thought comments couldn't occure in that area, but as it turns out I was quite wrong. In a chatty Cathy type of game you get them anywhere. If you look at a 2+2 table hand there is more conversation than game play.

Anyway it's being worked on, I have a rough solution but it eats too much memory for my liking. My eligant solution isn't possible in VB script because of limitations of the language. Let this be a lesson to all of you, use Java.

** Dealing down cards **

Eihli -

The comment from the player before **Dealing down cards** is what's breaking it. I'm working it, at first I didn't think chat could occure there, then when I found it I thought it would be rare enough it didn't matter, now I realize you guys all gossip like a quilting circle when you play.

Does there have to be no chat at all throughout the entire hand history?

Because I just deleted that line and can't find any other chat, but it's still giving me the error.

Nope it's just chat in that area, but if I delete the chat in that area with a simple text window, something breaks. I haven't bothered to check what Part adds for extra characters simply because I'm rewriting the hand import piece to autodelete all text wrather than ignore it.

Default Nothing happens when I enter a hand history

I've seen a lot of posts about people who are getting errors when they try to convert a hand history.

I don't get an error. Instead, nothing at all happens.

Your original hand history converter worked perfectly for me (and still does).

Could there be any difference between the two related to something like firewalls, intrusion detection, or security settings?

I'm running IE 6.0.2800 on Windows XP if that helps...

look at the bottom left hand corner of IE and it should tell you "Error on page." If you double click that an error dialogue pops up.
