[ QUOTE ]
when i see homeless people on the side of the street, i chuck AOL 5.0 discs at them frisby style. you know, in case they need some free internet access for their computers. [/ QUOTE ] I've read this 5 times now, and every time I crack up at the last line. NH |

thanks, but i think jake owned me here [/ QUOTE ] Jake's was very funny, but the imagery on your's is what makes it so great. First someone throwing a disc at a homeless guy, then them taking it to a computer (all gruffy and gross) and installing it and browsing the web. I'm laughing just thinking about it |

Re: Random Act of Kindness
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] how many tall cans of steel reserve do you think this guy bought with those 10$? [/ QUOTE ] Two things about homeless: 1)In my town the homeless line up at 8AM to buy booze when the markets open. 2) Here is the exchange that I see many many times... "god bless you, can you spare some change" "sorry man" "AHH [censored] YOU SPOILED BRAT!!!!!!!" Yarrrrrrr! [/ QUOTE ] You've just described 90% of the people who ask me for money. Except that they usually toss in a free racial slander against me for being white, too. All they do is train people never to give money to them or anyone who could even possibly construed as somewhat like them again. |

Re: Random Act of Kindness
There's a guy in my city who hangs out at the off ramp of a major highway . I gave him the $1 I had in quarters sitting in my car but 3 weeks later I get off the highway only to see him still there collecting change. Then 2 months later, I still him there collecting change on the same off-ramp. I guess he was doing pretty well.
