Results?

[/ QUOTE ]

OK, I cheated. I was the BB here and I was just sick of button stealing my blinds when I was totally card dead (defending with 84s and J3o is not in my repertoire). I had KQo but, as soon as the hand was over, realized I played it quite poorly. I can't think of any hand I'd defend my BB with and then play in this fashion on the flop and turn. I was hoping he'd make me for a set/two pair but I don't think I'd play a set this way against a guy who's almost certain to bet the flop if I check to him.

I have no idea what button folded.

Button could obviously have a lot of hands.. I'm guessing A9 or AT or something that he caught a piece of, but just doesn't have that much of a hand.

BB may be just sick of getting his blind stolen, but he's representing a very big hand here. Could be 99? My 2nd guess is QJ.

Yeah, I figured you were one of the players.

I'd bet that the opponent put you on what I put you on: AT.

What do you mean by this:

Does this mean you never defend? Please explain.

I'd play 78s like you did.

i'd defend with it; i lead at near drawless pot because if i check he will bet 10, and it costs too much to c/r, and i dont like c/c when he doesnt necessarily have a big hand to get stacked. so i bet.

then i turn the nuts, and i bet again.

probably a few other hands i'd play that way, but it depends on my read of button. if he raises more then he calls, (even though I would just call with JJ+ here if you led at pot...) he probably doesn't have a top pair hand or overpair. if he doesn't trap he probably doesnt have a gin hand, either. so it's likely to be a weak draw (such as the 2overs+gut) or mid pair / underpair that calls thinking you're just bluffing at it and he can check it down.

people say KJ or KQ for button, and i really like that read. some reason KJ flashed in my mind.

a hand like A9 or 77 is really plausible too for button.

so i could have JT, T9, 78, etc. etc. but I probably wouldnt play KQo like that. i'd probably bet flop then check turn and most likely fold to a turn bet.

Go log 4k more hands, then get back to me.

You clearly aren't ready to critique me, the greatest poker player in the Heel family.

At this point it's pretty clear you are simply a failed jopke account. NT.
