Re: Project Classic Rock
If you dig Zep, go ahead and buy the other albums, they are all quality.
No one mentioned yet... Cream Yardbirds Allman Brothers Creedence Clearwater Revival Paul Butterfield Blues Band (maybe) Chuck Berry (not really classic rock, but it's classic rock 'n' roll, if ya know what I mean) You'd probably like Steve Miller Band, I don't really care for them anymore. I thought they were cool when I was in High school. |

Wish You Were Here is a great album. It, along with DSotM and The Final Cut are my 3 favorite Floyd albums.

Re: Project Classic Rock
Velvet Underground is also pretty much obligatory. If you are willing to spring for the 5cd box set, you can get all of their released works plus a ton of other takes. If not, just get Peel Slowly and See and Loaded.

Re: Project Classic Rock
I Think this post deserves a bump. I'm going to NYC in the next two weeks and purchasing all the vinyl classic rock stuff that people here reccomend. I hear the city has some great shops, so please continue.
I especially want stuff along the lines of the beatles, zeppeling, doors, stones, hendrix I love it all |
